Open to boys and girls who have made their First Communion. They serve at weekend and other parish liturgies. Training is provided. This is a wonderful ministry for the youth of the parish, 4th grade and above, to serve the Church.

Before Mass begins, the Commentator welcomes all parishioners, new members, and visitors. At the end of Mass and before the Final Blessing, the Commentator makes the weeks announcements. The Lector proclaims the Word of God by reading the 1st and 2nd Readings during the liturgies. To fulfill the ministry well, a Lector must have a good speaking voice and spend time during the week preparing to proclaim God's Word.

This group of ministers includes those who already serve as Eucharistic Ministers for the weekend liturgy, as well as those whose primary ministry is taking Communion to the Sick and Homebound. Generally, each minister has one or two parishioners to whom he/she takes Communion every week. Orientation is provided for those parishioners who wish to be a part of this rewarding ministry.

Our Ministry is one of the spiritual works of mercy: Burying the dead, and dignified caring assistance for families at time of their loss and grief. We prepare the Church, set up the Sanctuary for the Mass, assist the priest at the Mass, restore the Sanctuary afterwards, and secure the Church. Join Us!

Each Mass is assigned a Mass Coordinator who is responsible for overseeing that everything is in place for the celebration of a particular liturgy. This includes the preparation of the altar and ensuring that supporting ministries such as the Eucharistic Ministers, Ushers, Lectors and Commentators are in place. The Mass Coordinator is the lead coordinator as well as the point of contact for reporting any irregularities or problems before, during or after the celebration of the liturgy.
